We are now presenting the extremely rare oval-shaped Champagne cooler from De Venoge.
The Grande Maison de Champagne De Venoge was founded in Epernay in 1837.
In 1838, De Venoge achieved a true „marketing” breakthrough by creating the first colorful and illustrated Champagne emblem in history.
Since 1851, the Cordon Bleu, the Blue Ribbon, has been the symbol of the Champagne house, referring to the Venoge River and the Order of the Holy Spirit—the most famous order of knighthood of the French monarchy.

Originally made of silver-plated brass in the first half of the 20th century.
Both sides are engraved with the words „De Venoge Champagne Epernay.”
What makes this Champagne cooler most attractive is its rare shape.
Both the body of the ice bowl and the pedestal are oval-shaped, which is truly stunning and very rare to find.
The oval shape looks excellent, and it is easy to imagine that this piece once adorned a chateau dining room.
The silver plating is almost flawless, although close inspection reveals scratches and wear.
It is completely intact and watertight, with no dents or holes, and the bowl has retained its original shape.
